Transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. Graduate student in Business Analytics with a background in political science, bringing a unique critical thinking lens to data-driven strategy.
I'm a graduate student at Virginia Tech pursuing a Master of Science in Business Analytics, combining technical skills with a unique perspective shaped by my background in political science and legal studies.
My career has been driven by a passion for understanding how data informs strategic decision-making across organizations. Whether analyzing performance metrics, optimizing resource allocation, or translating insights into actionable recommendations, I'm focused on bridging the gap between data and strategy.
I bring a distinctive critical thinking lens to analytics work. My undergraduate foundation in political science, criminology, and philosophy sharpened my ability to question assumptions, identify root causes, and understand complex human systems. This perspective proves invaluable when tackling business problems that require both quantitative rigor and qualitative understanding.
I'm especially interested in roles that blend business analytics with consulting, where I can partner with organizations to solve complex problems and drive strategic outcomes through data.
During my MSBA program, I partnered with HP on a 9-month capstone project focused on one core challenge: how can data drive better cross-market decision-making?
Through exploratory analysis and performance profiling, I discovered key insights around customer segments, growth opportunities, and operational gaps. I built an interactive dashboard to track performance metrics in real-time, enabling the sales team to spot trends and take action.
But data alone doesn't drive decisions. I worked closely with HP's commercial strategy team to translate findings into actionable recommendations. By identifying high-ROI customer segments and uncovering operational improvements, we informed strategic decisions that shaped HP's commercial strategy.
This project reinforced what I've learned throughout my career: the most powerful analytics work translates data into a narrative that drives action.
In my role as Graduate Assistant at Virginia Tech's Student Engagement and Campus Life office, I lead two operational teams supporting campus-wide programming. My focus is on translating organizational goals into measurable outcomes through data-driven decision-making and strategic resource management.
I manage comprehensive program evaluation processes, using data analysis to identify high-impact initiatives and inform future planning. My leadership approach emphasizes collaboration, clear communication, and evidence-based decision making to maximize student impact.
